Certified to ISO 9001:2015
This month Dynamic Safety Ltd was certified to ISO 9001:2015, the international standard for quality management systems, following an independent audit by Citation ISO Certification. Our certificate number is 511612026, and the registration covers the way we design, build, install and support our active safety systems, including SAIFI.
ISO 9001 is not a product badge. It is a judgement on the business behind the product: whether there is a documented, working system for understanding what customers need, delivering it consistently, catching problems before they reach site, and improving on the basis of what actually happens rather than what was planned.
Why we did it
Our customers are, for the most part, operators of industrial sites with formal supplier-approval processes. When a SHEQ or procurement team assesses a safety system that will drop a barrier or lock a gate on their site, they need more than a demonstration. They need evidence that the supplier controls its own processes: how changes are managed, how installations are checked, how faults are logged and closed out, and how the lessons feed back into the next job.
ISO 9001 gives that evidence a recognised shape. It shortens supplier onboarding, it answers a standing set of tender questions before they are asked, and it holds us to a standard that an external auditor checks rather than one we mark ourselves.
What changes for customers
- •Documented, repeatable processes for survey, design, installation and commissioning, so a system delivered on one site matches the one delivered on the next.
- •Formal handling of non-conformances and corrective actions: a fault found on site is recorded, traced to a cause and closed, not just fixed and forgotten.
- •Controlled change management for hardware, firmware and software releases, so what is running on a customer's site is known and versioned.
- •Regular management review and external surveillance audits, so the system is kept live rather than filed away after the certificate arrives.
For an active safety system in particular, the second and third points matter most. A system that intervenes physically on site has to behave the same way every time, and when it does not, the reason has to be found and fixed properly. That discipline was already part of how we work; certification makes it auditable.
Thank you
Achieving certification took a sustained effort from the whole team, and a fair amount of patience from the customers whose projects were the evidence. Thank you to everyone involved, and to Citation ISO Certification for a thorough and constructive audit. If you need a copy of the certificate for a supplier-approval file, get in touch and we will send it over.
